GRETNA, LA – An Orleans Parish man, Mr. Fraiche,  is seeking payment for a promissory note owed to him.

Nicholas M. Fraiche filed a suit April 17 against Melisa Colomb and Chris Colomb of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging suit on a promissory note.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a promissory note to the defendants for the balance of $24,000. The suit states that the defendants have failed to pay the balance and still owes $21,059.44.

The defendants are accused of failing to pay off the promissory note timely.

The plaintiff were seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Harold E. Weiser III in New Orleans.

The case was assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.

After all Pre-Trial matters the case was not able to be resolved and the trial commenced. During Opening Statements, Plaintiff’s Trial Attorney Harold Weiser stated ” That a debt is owed and the defendants are required to pay what is owed!

Several witnesses took the witness stand including the Plaintiff, Mr. Fraiche. Mr. Fraiche said “he loaned the money in good faith and only wants to be repaid what is his”.

After closing arguments the verdict came back in favor of the plaintiff, Nicholas Fraiche.
