Preston Porter is charged with Aggravated Rape of a Juvenile and Second Degree Kidnapping of a juvenile in Orleans Criminal District Court from an alleged incident occurred on January 3rd, 2012. Prosecutor Blair Bertholet presented the mother of the victim on the first day of Trial. Nadia Moore, the mother of the victim, testified that on a trip from Houston, Texas with her long term boyfriend to see her mother witnessed an event.

According to Nadia Moore, her 12 year old daughter was seen in a red hummer partial naked with her 39 year old boyfriend. The grand jury had indicted a 39-year-old Texas man on three counts of aggravated rape and second-degree kidnapping, accused of forcing sex on a 12-year-old child of a friend in his car in eastern New Orleans.

The girl said Preston Porter, of South Houston, woke her in her bed at her mother’s house at 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 3 and ordered her to take a ride. He then forced her into oral sex and vaginal sex, according to a police report.

On the second day of Trial, Defense Attorney Cameron Landry was injuried in a car accident on the way to Orleans Criminal District Court. Co-Counsel Harold Weiser agrued to have a mistrial ordered to give him time to take over the case. District Attorney Leon Cannizaro argued against the Harold Weiser and Judge Ziblich decided to give the defense one extra day to prepare to continue the case.

The trial resumes on October 31st, 2012 in Section L of Criminal District Court.
